Swing weight is just a number. One Swing weight point is equal to 10 grams
or approximately the weight of one dime. For every 1/2 you shorten the
driver shaft you change the swing weight by three swing weight points. The
average golfer will not notice a change of just three swing weight points.
A driver head can have weight added to it internally to bring the swing
weight back to the standard D-0. When Tiger Woods was playing at his best
the length of his driver was 43.5″.
I don’t think Chillax is the problem.
The problem is the hat and the top
My R1 Black was fit with an Oban Kiyoshi white that was cut a quarter inch.
I hit the ball straighter by doing that than all the funky adjustments.
If you’re spraying the yard with the long shafted driver, it may help.
Forgot to mention, you should put in a counter-weight on the butt end if
you cut down a shaft…very easy to do. Why are peeps freaking out?
