Golf Holidays The Family Will Enjoy Too

Combining your love of golf with a holiday the whole family will enjoy may seem like a selfish or impossible task altogether.

If your family aren’t into golf like you it may seem a golfing holiday is off the cards.  It might seem hard to justify in addition to taking your family away for a break. How can you get the golfing getaway you’ve dreamed of and still give your family a holiday to remember?

Family Friendly Golfing Holidays

The larger golf resorts offer internationally renowned golf courses with plenty to occupy the family too.  In these bigger resorts you are more likely to find fully staffed kids clubs, catering to children who wish to learn golf and those who don’t.

Aphrodite Hills golf resort for example, named by Great Golf Magazine in the UK as one of the best family friendly resorts has dozens of activities to keep kids occupied.  Kids can get involved in archery, tennis, arts and crafts and football coaching.

For those that like a little pampering many golf resorts are home to exceptional and even award-winning spas where you can find a host of treatments to completely unwind. The grounds of these resorts can be equally relaxing. With most golf resorts set in the country you may also find manicured gardens and nearby hiking, trekking and cycling routes.  The estates these resorts sit on can be sprawling, giving plenty of space for kids to explore.

When it comes to eating out may find Michelin starred fine-dining and some of the larger resorts may have several restaurants to choose from, including family friendly eateries.

Not Just Country Estates

While there are plenty of golf resorts set in historical estates and restricted to adults, there are many more which cater to children.  In fact they don’t just cater to children, there are some who are doing exceptionally well at it.  Golfers with young children represent a significant portion of the overall golf fan base worldwide.  Resorts know this and the family friendly golf resort market is heavily competitive as a consequence.

Is the Golf Experience Sacrificed?

As a general rule, no.  Some of the world’s best golf courses offer family friendly facilities.  Aphrodite Hills is a challenging championship golf course with a well received kids club and was named Cyprus’s top golf course in 2017.
