i need some tips on how to get a lower score in everything; putting, chipping, driving, and irons. thanks! 🙂

Try to get the ball into the hole without hitting it a lot. I find that is a good way to get a lower score.

    i would practice at least 100 putts a day, downhill sidehill long short, then your chipping and your short irons, as you master the longer club put them in your bag. in golf no power thought nice easy swing and swing thought of back swing your foward shoulder under your chin and finish swing with your back shoulder coming thru and pass under the chin.

    Golf Magazine has been my instructor over the years. They have a “Best Tips Ever” special edition on newsstands now. It’s a bit pricey for a magazine(11 bucks), but that’s less than the cost of lessons and less than nine holes on many courses(depending on where you live). It provides tips on how to hit just about every conceivable shot. I got mine at the magazine rack at Walmart.

    #1 Don’t try and kill the ball….don’t over swing; trust me, like in bed….testosterone can kill the moment, control can make it last.
    #2 Relax and have fun…tension and golf do not mix.
    #3 Choke down….minimizing your club may take distance away, but works wonders for accuracy.
    #4 Learn the basics….grip, stance (with each of your clubs and lie), and swing.
    #5 With chipping…ball off right great toe, left foot open to accommodate hip turn, minimal right wrist hinge on back swing, on downswing wrist pendulum swing, as in putting. LEARN FEEL. (take a pitching wedge out to an executive course and play with this club alone and a putter; you will learn feel and how to use your wedge 150yds and in. It beats buying 4 wedges and thinking you can handle them all to make that 10yd difference).
    #6 Putting… Practice, Practice, Practice, it’s what will keep you on top of your game, 3 putts are unacceptable, 2 putts minimized, 1 putt your goal.
